After posting yesterday’s track at Ventura College, I decided to check out the other two campuses of the VCCCD. So today it’s going to be the track at Oxnard College. This looks like it has a nice track surface with eight lanes. The facility however, doesn’t look like it was designed with track & field in mind though. All field events are located on the outside of the track except for the high jump. Another aspect of this facility that seems a little strange is the location of the main straightaway, which looks like it is actually on the backstretch, because of where the bleachers are. The long and triple jumps are just outside on the side as well. It looks like a nice track, but just doesn’t seem very spectator friendly.
