Stade de La Duchère Balmont is the last of the four venues for this summer’s upcoming World Masters Athletics Championships. It is also the main stadium for the championships and is the site for most of the sprints, hurdles, and relays. The stadium opened in 1966 and was renovated in 2013. Like the other three tracks, this one also got a brand new surface. It’s dedication was in September of that year. The track has eight lanes. For the field events, its more of a traditional European set-up, with everything located inside the oval. This looks like a great facility, as do all of the others. I wish I was able to attend the WMAC myself. I’m sure it will be a great time!
