I have a really nice-looking, two-color track to post today. This one is found in New York City at Pelham Bay Park in The Bronx. This track is built on the site of old Rice Stadium, which was torn down in 1989 after opening back in the 1920’s. The new track was installed in 2004 and has a Mondo surface, and the alternating blue and tan lanes look awesome. The high jump in positioned in the west end, with the pole vault inside the east curve. The other field events are outside the oval. The long jump and triple jump runways and pits are outside the south straight. Outside the west curve is the cage for the discus and hammer throws. The shot put ring and sector are outside the opposite end, but got cropped out of the Google photo. The track is one of several that is operated by NYC Parks, so it is available for public use.
