Stadion Gajayana – Malang, Indonesia

Stadion GajayanaWe move to Indonesia for today’s track.  This one is found in the city of Malang, at one of the oldest stadiums in the country, Stadion Gajayana.  This facility opened in 1926, and although it’s used mainly for soccer, it does have a dirt track as well.  There is a runway and sandpit inside the north end of the track for the long jump and triple jump.  There also looks like the is a circle for the shot put, discus, and hammer throw in both ends.  There is seating here for 35,000 people.  Here’s a good look at the stadium and track in the video below:
