I’m going to stay in South America for the next few tracks. This time they will be coming from Chile. As it turns out, Chile will be hosting the 2015 Copa America, so they are renovating and updating several stadiums to get ready for this huge soccer tournament. Today’s track is found at one of those currently being worked on, Estadio Municipal de Concepción. The construction started this fall, and will be completed sometime before June. You can see a video of the stadium before the changes started HERE. From what it looks like, a new blue track surface will be included with the improvements being done, and it will replace the old one exactly, maintaining the same shapes in the D-zones, and the notch taken out for the shot put sector. The seats will be new and all of them will be covered with the addition of a roof. I’ll have to check back on this one, once it is all finished.
