The NCAA Division III cross country championships were also held last weekend. Their race was hosted by Wilmington College. The Quakers’ track is found at Williams Stadium. This is a pretty typical, small-college facility. It’s used by several sports. The track has eight lanes, and the field events are contested on both the inside and outside. of the track. One interesting thing of note is in the north D-zone. The south edge of it is running at an angle, and is not perpendicular to the track straightaways. I’m not sure if this was done on purpose or by mistake, but I don’t think I’ve seen this before.
