UB Stadium – Buffalo, NY

UB StadiumUp next in the Mid-American Conference track series, we have the track found inside UB Stadium.  It is located on the campus of State University of New York – Buffalo.  This multi-use stadium opened in 1993, and has been the site of several major competitions, including the 1998 NCAA Division I national outdoor championship meet.  The Bulls track & field teams however, will not be having any home meets here this upcoming season.  For the field events here, they seem to be pretty spread out.  The javelin runway, two shot put sectors, and the discus/hammer cage are all located outside the stadium, behind the east-side bleachers.  The pole vault is actually found behind the bleachers on the opposite side.  I could barely squeeze the pit into the photo on the left side.

You can see some photos from the UB Open meet here from last spring on Facebook for distance events, sprints & relays, jumps, and throws.  These all give you a sense of what this track is like.
