Stadion Narodowy – Warsaw, Poland

Narodowy StadiumStadion Narodowy is the newly opened national stadium of Poland.  According to its wikipedia page, the stadium opened in 2012.  It has an official seating capacity of 58,145, but can hold more for concerts.  The LOTTO Kamila Skolimowska Memorial meet was held here last night.  This is kind an interesting situation, because the stadium does not have a track.  It was built for soccer.  They installed a temporary straightaway for the sprints and hurdles, as well as a cage for the throws, and runways for the jumps.  You may have read about this meet because Usain Bolt ran the 100m and set was is considered a new indoor world record because the roof was closed at the time of the race.  Here is a video of the race where you can see the track and some of the field events as the race passes by them:
