I have one more track from the Los Angeles area to post in this series. Today it’s a college track located at California State University Los Angeles, and it’s the home facility of the Golden Eagles. The track was one of six tracks that were built to be used (for training) in 1984 when Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympics. It was dedicated in May, 1983. They have eight lanes at this track with all field events except the horizontal jumps on the inside. It’s a pretty simple and pretty basic design. Cal State L.A. hosted two meet here this past season. The reason I’m posting this track is because my sister graduated from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts which is located on the Cal State L.A. campus. LACHSA however does not have an athletics program, so they don’t use this track.
