Next in the Peruvian track series is Estadio Mansiche. The original stadium was opened in 1946, but over the years has been completely re-built through a series on renovations. The most recent update was just completed this winter. The 10-year old artificial turf was torn up last fall and replaced now with new grass. A new track surface was installed in February, replacing a 6-lane track that was installed in 2005, with a new 8-lane track. The result is this awesome looking new facility you see below. The seating capacity has been expanded over the years as well, to hold just over 25,000 spectators now.
