I’m moving to Lima for the next few tracks in the Peruvian series. First up is the track found at the Estadio Nacional. The original stadium opened in 1952. It has since been renovated several times, with the most recent being in 2011, in preparation for the 2015 Pan Am Games bid (which was won by Toronto). This is a great looking, blue track, but it unfortunately has only six lanes. Soccer is the main sport of this stadium. They have a pretty cool looking lighting system on the stadium’s exterior. It changes based on the noise level from the fans inside. It’s a high-tech system, and you can see more photos and a video HERE. Be sure to check it out!
