Moving west to the next Canadian province, we are in British Columbia today for the site of their high school championship meet. The British Columbia School Sports provincial meet was held last weekend at McLeod Athletic Park Running Track, which is operated by the township of Langley. After doing some research, it appears that the Bing satellite photo is a little older. Since it was taken, a new Ocean Marker track surface was installed (in 2009). And even more recently, new artificial turf was installed, along with an interior fence, just last year. The seating capacity of the stadium is 2,200. This looks like a great facility. The field events though are really spread out, making it less than ideal for spectators. Below is a video from last years championship meet where you can get a good look at the track:
Some good photos of the track are also available HERE.
