Today’s New Zealand grass track is found at Nairnville Park, and is the home of the Onslow Amatuer Athletics Club. There is a lot going on at this park, but you can faintly see the lines for the track, mixed in with the others. I’m posting this one, because of the shape of the track itself – it’s a big oval. In fact, it’s close to being a circle. I’m sure it is because of the amount of space they have to work with, and this was a way to fit a full size track in. They do have a 10-lane straightaway on the northeast side, but you can see there isn’t much room beyond the ends. When you are used to being on a standard track, running on this one might seem a little different.
