Sir John Guise Stadium is next in this Oceania track series, and it’s found in Papua New Guinea. I couldn’t find much current information about this facility, but I did find out about its future. A major renovation will be occurring, if it hasn’t started already, in preparation for hosting the 2015 Pacific Games. You can see some architectural renderings HERE. While the state of the venue in the satellite photo shows it’s not in the greatest shape, the new facility looks to be fantastic. It will be interesting to see if they end up installing the yellow track surface like the pictures show. There will also be seating for 15,000 people. I can’t wait to see how the whole project turns out.
