Today’s track is the home of the Skeeters of Mesquite High School, in Texas. EH Handby Stadium is another big Texas high school facility, with a seating capacity of almost 12,000. It was built in 1956, and was renovated in 2002. It looks to me like there was another renovation done since then, based on the artificial turf, as well as how nice the track looks. This is a eight-lane track, with the jumps inside the two “D” zones. The throws have a nice area right to the south. The pole vault is located at the starting end of the main straightaway, along with another pit at the other end that got cropped out of the Google photo. They also have a video scoreboard here. Nice!
