We move to the state of Washington for today’s unusual mascot and their home track. In this series, I’ve found some really nice high school tracks. However, the one here at Oakville High School isn’t one of them. In fact, this one give me flashbacks to my own high school track, which like this one was also cinder. Oakville is a small school, with 300 students K-12 attending here. I was unable to determine whether the Acorns even have a track team. Yes, they are the Oakville Acorns! It does look like there is a shot put area inside the south end of the track, along with what might be a discus circle. Jump runways and pits are found inside the west straightaway too. You can tell the Google pic was taken in the summer, do to the weeds growing through the cinders along the edges.
