Today’s high school track is found in Connecticut, and is the home of the East Hampton Bell Ringers. They are called the Bell Ringers because in the early 1800’s, East Hampton was the center of bell manufacturing in the U.S. There were as many as 30 companies here at that time, who made bells.
That track here is very nice. It has eight full lanes, which is kind of rare in New England. Most are four or six-lane tracks. The throws and jumps are located outside the track at the north end. It also looks like they have nice wide curves.
