Today’s track is actually the final in this short Ivy League series. As it turns out, I have already posted the other five schools’ tracks as part of the Team USA series in 2012. So last, but not least is Dwyer Track, which is the home of the Bulldogs of Yale University. The track surface was installed in 1995, and there is bleacher seating for 1,500 people. The first all-weather surface was installed here in 1981, replacing a very interesting and unique cinder track. Apparently the two straightaways were 200-meters long, so the 200 was run on a complete straight, with no turns. And the 400 could be run with only one turn. That would be something to see, but unfortunately I was unable to find any pictures of the old track online anywhere.
