The track today is found in one of the world’s most unusual stadiums, Mmabatho Stadium, which is located in the country of South Africa. The stadium was built in 1981 by a Russian construction firm. It is a multi-purpose stadium with seating for 59,000 people, and is mainly used for soccer. The track itself, looks old, but adequate. It does have some unique lane coloring. Lanes 1, 2 and three are blue. Then lanes 4 and 5 (in the middle) are red. And lanes 6, 7 and 8 are blue again. The interesting feature of this stadium though is obviously the weird bleacher design. Normal bleachers benches, but in kind of a triangle shape, with giant squares of bleachers above them at a different angle (which is not the greatest for viewing the field). This is definitely a one of a kind stadium!
