Stade Josy Barthel – Luxemburg City, Luxembourg

Stade Josy BarthelToday’s track pic comes from Luxembourg.  Stade Josy Barthel is the national stadium of this tiny European nation, and can accommodate 8,000 spectators, making it the largest stadium in the country.  The original stadium was built in 1928, but was completely rebuilt in 1990.  It was renamed in 1993 to honor Luxembourg’s only Olympic gold medalist, 1500m runner Josy Barthel.  Six lanes are barely able to get squeezed in here, but it still looks like a nice facility.
