Greece has many nice sports facilities and there are quite a few that were renovated in 2004 to get ready for the Olympic Games. Some were used for actual competition, while others were used for training purposes. Today’s track was one that was upgraded for athletes to train on while in Greece. Volos Municipal Stadium was built in 1968, and has a current seating capacity of 9,000. It looks like a nice venue, in a scenic location, but only has six full lanes. Not the best for competition, but this sure makes for a nice practice track.
