Arsenal Stadium – Tula, Russia

Arsenal StadiumContinuing with the Russian tracks while the World Championships are going on, today’s track is found in the city of Tula.  Arsenal Stadium is a very nice multi-use facility.  It’s hard to tell in this photo because of the roof, but it has some very colorful seating inside for its 22,000 spectators.  The track also has a new surface.  This stadium first opened in 1959.  I am also a little intrigued by the facility located just to the west.  If anyone know what this is used for please share it with us!  I was not familiar with Tula, prior to finding this track.  It seems like an interesting city, with a very large park located in the center, not far from the stadium.
