Getting close to the end of the high school state meet series, we are in Utah today. Their state championships are held on the BYU campus at Clarence F. Robison Track & Field Stadium. This is a beautiful, track-only facility. Originally opened in 1982. it underwent a major renovation in 2002. All field events are located inside the track, making it extremely spectator-friendly. Warm-up and practice straight lanes are also found outside to the north. While you can’t tell from the overhead photo, you can see in the small picture that the view from the bleachers is pretty tough to beat! The high school state meet was held May 17th and 18th this year. Results for all five classes can be viewed HERE. On a personal note, I’m happy to finally post this track, because one of my former students is a sprinter on the BYU women’s team. And I’m extremely jealous that she gets to train on a track like this!
