The high school state meets in Missouri will be held at today’s track. Dwight T. Reed Stadium is found on the campus of Lincoln University, who has been a dominant track team themselves for a long time. This is definitely a spectator friendly facility. All field events are located inside the track. Shot put and discus are in the northeast end, with high jump and javelin at the opposite end. Four different long and triple jump pits are found inside the two straightaways. It’s a very nice set-up.
High schools in Missouri are divided into four different classes. They all will have their state championships here, but they are split up over two different weekends. Classes 1 and 2 will compete this Friday and Saturday, May 17th and 18th. Classes 3 and 4 will be held the following weekend, on the 24th and 25th.
