Florida would be the next track in line, but it was already covered last spring when they hosted the NCAA East Regional meet. Their high school state meet is at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida, at the end of the month for classes 1A and 2A an April 26th and 27th. Then the next weekend, the state championships for classes 3A and 4A will be held.
After going back a looking, I realized that this track was one of my first posts, and I really didn’t provide much info or commentary at all, so I decided to go with a re-post today! This is a fantastic looking facility. It has a seating capacity of 9,400 and was built in 2004. In 2008, a new Mondo surface was installed. This is a 9-lane track, with multiple runways and options for all jumps. There are also multiple throwing areas. Just outside the main stadium, there is a 3-lane, full 400m warm-up track as well. And with the updated Google view, there is now a meet actually going on in the pic. This is only the second time I have stumbled across this, so of course I had to post this track again.
