Notre Dame Track & Field Stadium – South Bend, IN

I featured the tracks of the last two women’s 10K runners for Team USA in the past two days.  Now it’s on to the three 5K runner’s, starting with the top US finisher in London, Molly Huddle.  Huddle finished 11th in a tactical race, after running a season best in the first round.  The track today is on the Notre Dame campus, where she competed for the Fighting Irish.  Huddle graduated from Notre Dame in 2007, but this new track however opened in 2010, so it technically was never her home track.  None the less, it’s still a beautiful looking facility.  Former Irish hurdler Selim Nurudeen also competed in London, representing Nigeria.
