Ed Weir Stadium – Lincoln, NE

The University of Nebraska has some superb athletic facilities, and tucked right into the center of them all is their outdoor track at Ed Weir Stadium.  This track was the home of Team USA’s heptathlete and former Cornhusker, Chantae McMillan.  In London,her first Olympic games, she finished the two-day event in 29th place.  Five other athletes from Nebraska competed in London as well, representing four different countries:

Gyorgyi Farkas – Hungary – Heptathlon

Carl Myerscough – Great Britain – Shot Put

Janis Leitis – Latvia – 400m

Lehann Fourie – South Africa – 110m Hurdles

Ineta Radevica – Latvia – Long Jump (finished 4th, 1cm behind Janay Deloach)
